We are celebrating the Sattler DMGS!

40 years of reliability, security and efficiency

The year is 1981, when Sattler revolutionized the biogas storage sector with the development of the double membrane gas storage system. The brilliant idea resulted in dedicated tinkering and just one year later, in 1982, the first Sattler storage tank was installed as a ¾-sphere on the roof of a poultry farm in Vorarlberg, AT.

What was initially implemented locally quickly developed into an international project success, especially in the early 1990s, based on numerous patents from Sattler. With the acquisition of Ceno-Tec GmbH in 1996, the services in the field of gas storage were optimally expanded. It was possible to successfully merge the know-how from both companies. Over the years, numerous technical solutions have been developed that are decisive for the quality and performance of our gas storage systems.

In the meantime, the production of biogas has become an essential aspect of sustainable energy management. The areas of application around the world are correspondingly diverse and varied. With the development of the multi-gas storage system in recent years, we are currently making our contribution to the success of the energy transition. Fewer coal and nuclear power plants, but more electricity from wind and sun increase the need for flexibility in energy generation. With the Sattler CENO multi-gas storage tank, electricity and heat from biogas can now be supplied when they are actually needed. So, off to a climate-friendly future!
